Lirik lagu Monoral mini album IN STEREO yang dirilis pada 25 Juli 2001 terdiri dari lima tracks. IN STEREO adalah mini album perdana band yang terdiri dari Anis Shimada (vokal, gitar) dan Ali Morizumi (bass) tersebut. IN STEREO sendiri kemudian dirilis ulang pada 2 Desember 2009, di bawah payung Haunted Records yang ada dalam naungan Sony Music Japan. Haunted Records diciptakan oleh HYDE, vokalis L'Arc en Ciel.
Lirik lagu IN STEREO semuanya ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris, baik lirik maupun judulnya. Semua lirik ditulis oleh Anis, yang bekerjasama dengan HYDE dalam menangani lirik bahasa Inggris untuk album kedua solo projectnya, 666. Sementara, aliran musik MONORAL di album ini, sesuai review CaliggyJack dari Sputnik Music, cukup variatif, merentang dari Alternative Rock, Psychedelic Rock, hingga Shoegaze.
Penampilan Monoral cukup asing bagi telinga pendengar J-Music. Bukan cuma karena aliran musik mereka, tetapi juga lirik yang dibuat Anis, yang berbahasa Inggris bukan sekadar Engrish (lirik Inggris, tetapi sangat kental terpengaruh struktur pembentukan kalimat ala bahasa Jepang).
